CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

As the Chicago area continues to deal with sub-zero temperatures, many of its attractions and businesses remain closed.

For Tuesday, the Museum of Science and Industry and the Shedd Aquarium will stay closed.

MSI released a statement today saying the museum is closed due to weather and will re-open on Wednesday, Jan. 7.

Despite frigid temperatures, a few places will re-open on Tuesday.

The Brookfield Zoo announced they will be open on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

According to zoo officials, the zoo closed Monday due to snow and the temperatures. This is only the fourth time in the zoo's history that it closed due to severe weather, officials said.

The Adler Planetarium and the Field Museum of Natural History will be open on Tuesday as well.
