Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson was arrested on New Year's Day in Chanhassen, Minn. on suspicion of drunk driving -- a second incident in a little over a month.
He was arrested Wednesday near the intersection of Highway 101 and Flying Cloud Drive after skidding over the centerline of Flying Cloud Drive through a grassy area and then through a nearby parking lot before hitting trees on the west side of the lot. He was not injured but smelled of alcohol and had glassy eyes, the Carver County Sheriff's Office said.
He was booked for second- and third-degree DWI, refusing a breath test, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and violation of a limited driver's license.
Henderson was released from jail after posting $12,000 cash bail. His next court appearance will be March 3, 2014.
On Nov. 19, Henderson was arrested for probable cause DWI and possession of a controlled substance around 6 a.m. in Eden Prairie. He was arrested at the Fredrick-Miller Spring north of Flying Cloud Drive, booked and released, but missed the week's matchup against Green Bay.
