Reports: Leslie Frazier may be Tampa Bay's new defensive coordinator

Posted: Updated:

Three days after being fired from his head coaching position with the Minnesota Vikings, Leslie Frazier may be the new defensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to Ben Goessling and Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com, Frazier and Dallas Cowboys defensive line coach Rod Marinelli are both candidates to join new head coach Lovie Smith in Tampa Bay.

Frazier acted as defensive coordinator for Cincinnati from 2003-04 and with Minnesota in 2007 until being named interim head coach after the team let go of Brad Childress in the middle of the 2010 season.

Smith will replace Greg Schiano, who was fired from the Bucs on Monday.
