Missing inauguration bible found

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - The bible used by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1933 on the day he was sworn into office disappeared after the mayoral inauguration in New York City on Wednesday.

The bible, also used by Mayor Bill de Blasio and on loan from the FDR Library in Hyde Park, was used for the inauguration but disappeared after the ceremony.

Dozens of NYPD detectives and staffers for Mayor De Blasio searched City Hall for several hours.

The bible was found on the landing of a staircase just before 5 p.m.
