With the merriment of the holidays over, Chicago now faces the gloom of winter. But never fear – Good Day Chicago is here with a pick-me-up: A look ahead to summer music festival season.
A little music festival you may have heard of called Lollapalooza will take place in Grant Park once again this summer, from Aug. 1-3.
More than 70 bands will perform on five stages for a music extravaganza in the heart of the city. We are still waiting on the official line up, but there are rumors that Nine Inch Nails and Arcade Fire will be there.
The Millennium Park Summer Film series returns this year, kicking off June 24 and taking place every Tuesday through Aug. 26.
The movies are presented on a 22-ft. high screen, using the most up-to-date technology and providing an incredible movie-going experience that takes advantage of the great summer weather we're all looking forward to.
October is Chicago Artists Month, an incredible way to discover hundreds of local artists through exhibitions, openings, art walks and performances. The final list of locations will be released soon.
