Georgia dairy recalls two cheeses

ATLANTA -

Two cheese from a dairy in Swainsboro are being recalled because they might be contaminated with Salmonella.

Flat Creek Farm & Dairy's Heavenly Blue and Aztec Cheddar cheeses, sold in Georgia and Florida are subject to the recall issued by the Georgia Department of Agriculture.

While no illness have been reported, they are recalling the cheeses due to the potential health risk.

The cheeses are distributed in Georgia and Florida and through flatcreekdairy.com. The product is packed in clear plastic and ranges in sizes from ½ pound to whole wheels. The recall affects products with lot codes 130916XHB for Heavenly Blue and 130823XAZ for the Aztec Cheddar. Those codes can be found on the front of the package.

Consumers that have purchased this product are urged to return the product to the place of purchase or call the Flat Creek Dairy & Farm at 478-237-0123 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
