Yahoo confirmed what we already know…Millions of you wanted to see Miley Cyrus twerk.

The former Disney star turned provocative pop diva is the number one person or thing searched on Yahoo in 2013.

What's more… the phrase ‘What is Twerking’ also topped the search engine's most popular list this year.

Miley bumped out realty tv-star Kim Kardashian whose baby bump and birth helped her retain Yahoo's place as the second most searched person in 2013.

Yahoo host Ralphie Aversa says this list of top searches means literally millions of users have searched these celebrities and phrases billions of times.

And for the first time, Yahoo tracked the interests on the social media sight Tumblr.

‘The Reasons My Son is Crying’ and ‘Hot Dog Legs’ are Tumblr blogs that went viral.

But it wasn't all silly and famous names that took up our time...

Although Yahoo ranked Duck Dynasty as our number one obsession, Breaking Bad is right below it.

Infamous murder trials with attractive defendants like Jodi Arias and Casey Anthony captured our interest and our web searches.

So did Obamacare but the Affordable Care Act comes in at number 6. It still has a way to go to catch up to the internet's most famous twerker.

In 2013, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo created a state panel to investigate public corruption, called the Moreland Commission. But the governor is accused of interfering with investigations and compromising the commission's work. Republican Astorino, who is running against Cuomo, claimed Cuomo didn't hand over evidence to State Police. Astorino wants a special prosecutor to find out if any state and federal laws were broken.

Archeologists say they've solved a mystery that started with the rebuilding at ground zero. During the excavation at the World Trade Center Site, workers uncovered part of an old ship. No one knew where it came from. Now after years of study, researchers believe the sloop dates back to 1773, built from wood harvested from Pennsylvania, the same kind used to build Independence Hall.

"A mixed bag": That's how the Straphangers Campaign characterizes New York City subways; some good parts and some bad. For example, the C train breaks down most often, not surprising since the line has 50-year-old cars. But C trains were also the cleanest in the transit system.Straphangers said the worst subway trains were the IRT's No. 2.
