PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix man accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in 2007 has been arrested.

Phoenix police say 53-year-old Gregory Romeo Somavia is being held on suspicion of sexual conduct with a minor and sexual abuse.

Court documents state that Somavia assaulted the victim multiple times from September to December in 2007.

The teen says Somavia told her that Child Protective Services would take her from her home if she told anybody what he was doing to her.

Police began their investigation after the alleged victim told her boyfriend.

When they confronted Somavia, he allegedly admitted to touching the girl when she was 14.

It was unclear Tuesday if Somavia has an attorney yet for his case.
