Advance America Cash Advance has increased the reward it is offering for information leading to an arrest in connection with the murder of its employee Chelsea Small. The company is now offering a $35,000 reward. In addition, Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a $2,500 reward.

"It's difficult each day. It's a roller coaster, some days are good some days are bad," says Debi Kamin, the mother of Small. Surveillance video shows a man walk into the check cashing store and open fire where 32-year-old Small worked.

"The additional money may be what an individual needs to inspire them to come forward," says Chief Mary Sclabassi of Taylor Police.

The police chief says tips are still coming in daily but investigators still need the final piece of the puzzle that will solve this case. The suspect is described as 35 to 50 years old with a stocky build. It's not clear whether he knew Small or had seen her at work in the past.

"The sooner we get him the sooner the process can take the steps it has to take - the sooner my family can then go on," Kamin says. She also says she's grateful to the company and the community for their support. But, her family needs closure. She says the holiday season has been extremely difficult. "I miss the everyday, just the girl chat between mom and daughter," she says.

The murder left Small's two children, ages five and eight, without their mother. After the news conference the police chief had a surprise for the family. Officers presented Kamin with gifts from an anonymous donor.

If you recognize the man in surveillance video or know any information about this crime contact Taylor Police at (734) 287-6611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (1-800-773-2587).

The city of Detroit says workers and retirees have approved pension cuts, a crucial step to emerging from the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history. The city reported results Monday after two months of balloting ended July 11. A judge still must hold a trial to determine if Detroit's overall bankruptcy plan is fair and feasible, but support from retirees is vital.
