3 Teens Charged In Death Of 19-Year-Old Killed Outside Home

CHESTER COUNTY, Pa. -

Three Chester County teenagers are charged in the death of a 19-year-old Oxford man. Police say he was killed in a botched robbery attempt just outside his home.

Cassidy Moran is still struggling to believe her friend is gone. His closest friend read from a tattoo of their favorite song to FOX 29.

"You are the air in my lungs..the sky where I'm floating," Moran said.

Anthony who goes by the name Tony Welfhaf was an honors student at Oxford High School, he loved music and was an avid snowboarder.

He was also a son, and best friend to 8-year-old sister Alyssa now without her big brother.

"We played games together. he used go outside and sometimes we used to throw snowballs at each other," Alyssa said.

Anthony's life ended in his front yard Tuesday night. State Police say Anthony met three teenagers in a truck outside his Oxford home to sell some merchandise, but police say the teens, two 16-year-olds and a 19-year-old tried to rob him and take off. In the struggle Anthony was struck and killed.

The Christmas lights that decorated the family home are now dark for the holidays as this family tries to come to grips with the tragic loss and coping to deal with the anger of a young life lost so senselessly.

"Unbelievable anger. I knew one of the kids. I don't understand how someone could do something like this. I don't understand how someone can do something like this and drive away," Moran said.

19-year-old Benjamin Deasy has been charged with robbery and involuntary manslaughter. He's being held in the Chester County prison on $300,000 bail.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
