PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia Police need the public's help in finding a missing child who could be endangered.

The child is a two-year-old named Dashawn Thorpe, and he was never brought back by his mother's ex-boyfriend Tyrone E. Rowland, police say.

According to investigators, Dashawn was reported missing on December 18th by his mother. She told investigators that she left Dashawn in the care of Tyrone after he picked him up from the Precious Moments Daycare on Wednesday, December 11th. The understanding, according to police, was that Tyrone would bring the kid back on Sunday, December 15, 2013. However, authorities say, Tyrone never returned Dashawn on December 15th.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dashawn Thorpe and or Tyrone Rowland please contact Central Detective Division at 215-686-3093.
