Menards recalls pre-lit, artificial Christmas trees

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Menards is pulling 1,800 pre-lit, artificial Christmas trees after reports that they may overheat, start a fire or cause an electric shock.

The trees are the 7 1/2 foot twinkling pine trees sold between September and November of this year for around $300.

The recalled model number 287-1261 and UPC code 741895425478 are printed on the retail box and on a red tag attached to a tree branch.

If you have one of these you should unplug it immediately and return it to Menards for a full refund.
