A stabbing outside Tartan High School in Oakdale, Minn. sent a 10th grade student to Regions Hospital with serious injuries Friday afternoon.
A passing driver saw a person on the ground and called 911 at about 3:04 p.m. The initial call indicated the boy, a Tartan High School sophomore, was stabbed in the abdominal area. He was found conscious with injuries consistent with a knife or edged weapon attack and brought to Regions. His condition is currently unknown.
Oakdale police arrested a juvenile person of interest who had injuries consistent with the handling of a knife.
Investigators do not believe anyone else was directly involved in the attack.
