CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A Chicago man is facing a felony charge for pouring boiling water on a 15-year-old boy, causing second-degree burns on the teen's face and neck, according to police.

Terrell Michael Johnson, 19, of the 7600 block of King Drive was charged Monday with one count of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, according to police.

The incident occurred during a sleepover Nov. 30 at a home in the 7500 block of South Peoria Street, police said.

According to police, the boy feared his mother would be upset with his injuries and concealed them for two days. The teen later confessed to the incident and said a friend witnessed the attack, police said.

Johnson was expected to appear in bond court Tuesday.
