Residents fed up with crime in south Fulton County community

Posted: Updated:
FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -

Neighbors in a south Fulton County community are banding together to battle crime after the murder of a woman in her own home.

Police said 43-year-old Pam Williams was killed in a home invasion in the Amhurst subdivision on Sunday.

In response, about 50 residents have formed a neighborhood watch. They want to know who is responsible for the murder as well as dozens of burglaries throughout these otherwise quiet streets.

Residents said they are fed up and want to take their neighborhood back. Advice was provided by other area neighborhood watch organizers that have found success.

Fulton County police and the district attorney's office have offered a $15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for Williams' murder. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 404-577-8477.
