Kelcey Carlson named new Fox 9 evening news anchor
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (KMSP) -
Kelcey Carlson has been named the new co-anchor of Fox 9 News at 5 and 9.
Kelcey is coming to the Twin Cities from WRAL-TV in Raleigh, N.C. where she is the main morning show anchor as well as an investigative reporter. WRAL-TV has a strong reputation for hard news reporting and in-depth investigations.
Kelcey has Midwest roots, growing up in Indiana and graduating from the University of Indiana.
"This opportunity is like winning the jackpot," she said. I have fond memories of my summer vacations in the Midwest and I'm so excited to move back here with my family and be a part of the talented FOX 9 news team."
Kelcey and her husband Dave have two boys, Charlie and Kellen, and a dog named Stubbs.
"My husband and I can't wait to get our life started in Minneapolis. People are real consumers of news in this area and when I saw the reporting at KMSP, I knew I wanted to be part of that."
