Vigil held for Clinton Township woman killed in hit-and-run

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -

Clinton Township Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of 20-year-old Bobbi Layne Roberts of Clinton Township. The crash happened on northbound Gratiot Ave. south of Capital Dr. around 11:25 p.m. Friday night. Sunday, a vigil was held at the crash scene.

Early investigation suggests an unknown vehicle traveling in the right lane northbound on Gratiot struck Roberts. A passing vehicle stopped and called police after seeing a woman lying on the ground.

There were no reported eye witnesses. The vehicle that hit Roberts may have damage to the right front and headlight area.
