New app says how safe skin products are

Posted: Updated:

There's a new app that tells you just how safe products are for your skin.

It's called, ‘Skin Deep’ and has a database of over 70,000 personal care products like lotions and cosmetics.

The free app, made by the research company EWG lets you scan barcodes or type in the names of your favorite items.

Each product is given a rating based on how hazardous the ingredients are for your body.
