Try before you buy at Verizon's 'destination store'
M.A. Rosko explores the new "destination store" at Mall of America crafted by Verizon Wireless who's looking to make a bigger push in the world of retail.
There's six different "lifestyle zones" at the store for people of all ages and interests that show how you can utilize the technology -- headphones, pedometers, tablets, etc. -- offered at Verizon in your every day life.
The store also offers education, support and hands-on demonstrations of its wireless products and services. In addition, Verizon plans to convert its 1,700 retail locations into "smart stores," or smaller versions of these destination stores.
Verizon may be taking notes from Apple, whose stores have offered similar services in shopping malls for over a decade.
