A massive winter storm already blamed for 10 fatal accidents is making an eastward run up to Thanksgiving.
The storm is tracking south and east and could threaten plans for Tuesday and Wednesday as people hit the roads and airports Thanksgiving travel. American Airlines already canceled 300 flights in and out of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Monday.
Check with your airline for the status of your flight and weather waiver rules that will allow you to change your reservation.
The average distance traveled this Thanksgiving will be 601 miles, according to AAA. While Wednesday is the peak travel day, Tuesday will be busy as well. You can avoid some congestion on the roads by traveling early in the morning or after 8 p.m.
