4 arrested in connection with 'knockout' game

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Four men were arrested on Friday in connection with the assault of a 24-year-old pedestrian in Borough Park, Brooklyn

Police believe the assault is part of the so-called game "knockout" -- where unsuspecting residents are targeted and sucker-punched.

In the most recent incident, a Jewish man was walking along 18th Ave. at about 2:45 a.m. on Friday when he was punched in the face.

The men arrested range in age from 28-38, according to police.

The NYPD says the growing trend has occurred in predominately Jewish neighborhoods in Brooklyn.

"I commend the excellent police work that we saw this morning," said Assemblyman Hikind.  Recently, the Assemblyman convinced a 78-year-old woman in Midwood to come forward and report her assault to the police."

In an attack caught on video last week in Crown Heights, a group of ten men spots a man walking alone, punches him and keeps moving.

It appears the subway bedbug problem we've been reporting is getting worse. Commuters already have to contend with sweltering platforms, scurrying rats and packed train cars, and now there's another transit woe: fear of bedbugs.
