Study: 15% Of Americans Hate Their Jobs

Posted: Updated:

We're half-way through the work week, and it turns out that some of you are just dreading the thought of heading out the door.

Of course, a lot of us complain about our jobs, but American workers seem to not be as happy at work compared to counterparts in other countries, according to the latest study.

The survey, sponsored by the job- finding site monster.com, Shows that just 53% of US workers say they're happy at work, and 15% say that they absolutely hate their jobs!

That's the highest level of dissatisfaction among the seven countries in the survey (USA, Canada, India, Netherlands, UK, France, Germany).

Canadians are the happiest at work. 64% of them like or love what they do, and only about 7% say they are dissatisfied.

The survey gathered answers from 8,000 people, including 1,007 in the United States.

Fewer health care and retirement benefits and a longer work week are just a few of the reasons that American workers say they hate their jobs, according to Gallup Polls.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
