As we prepare for another big cool down, our neighbors to the East are battling the warmer and more violent side of this latest system. Below is a screen shot of all the severe thunderstorm warnings (Yellow) and tornado warnings (black) that occurred between 10 AM and 2 PM CDT on Sunday 11/17/13.

Also, here is a map of storm reports, courtesy of the storm prediction center, as of 2 PM Sunday. The Red T's are tornado touchdowns, blue W's for wind and green H's for hail.

Earlier as the severe weather rolled through the Chicago area, the game was halted and fans took shelter at Soldier Field.

Below is a picture of a possible touchdown in Illinois.

Later on Sunday the system continued to drop tornadoes as it moved east. The picture below is a radar shot of a tornado on radar in Kentucky. You can actually see the debris ball, that dot circled on the radar. It's the radar actually picking up on debris that was thrown into the air.

The storm system will continue to push east, spreading the chance of severe weather into the Ohio Valley and points east as evening approaches.
