GRANITE FALLS, Minn. (KMSP) -

On Tuesday, a grand jury in Yellow Medicine County charged Andrew Dikken with six counts of first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend.

Dikken, 28, had previously been charged with two counts of second-degree murder after a two-week manhunt following the double-shooting on Sept. 2.

Charging documents accuse Dikken of shooting both 26-year-old Kara Monson and 28-year-old Chris Panitzke, of Redwood Falls, inside Monson's home in Granite Falls. Panitzke identified Dikken as the gunman to police before he died of his injuries a week after the shooting.

Although police publicly identified him as a person of interest and asked the public to help locate him, Dikken remained at large for two weeks before he surrendered to police at the direction of his family.

Dikken remains in the Yellow Medicine County Jail with bail set at $3 million.
