Thanksgiving is still about three weeks away, but while many people are planning their menus, others are deciding what time to head the stores. On Monday, Target announced it will open its doors at 8 p.m.
The Minnesota-based retailer has opened on the holiday in year's past, but they will open an hour earlier this year and will remain open all the way through 11 p.m. on Black Friday.
The executive vice president of merchandising at Target said she felt the time is right, based on the competitive landscape, sentiment among shoppers and store staff.
Also on Monday afternoon, Target announced its Black Friday deals of the season, including a 50-inch LED TV for $229, and there will be 15 online-only discounts each day starting the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
