Youngstown State wins 73-57 over Kennesaw State

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) - Kendrick Perry had 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists at the Kennesaw State Tournament on Friday night to lead Youngstown State over Kennesaw State 73-57.

Perry's all-around effort for the Penguins was the 21st career 20-point game for the Horizon League Preseason Player of the Year.

Ryan Weber scored a career-high in the first half and finished with 18 points and five steals. He was 4 of 5 from 3-point range.

Kamren Belin and Marcus Keene added 10 points each for Youngstown State.

Kennesaw State fell behind in the opening minutes and never challenged the rest of the game.

Delbert Love had 13 points to lead the Owls in the first contest between the schools. The Owls were hosting their first-ever tournament as they try to rebound from a 3-27 season.
