Healy Block Historic District homes 'jewels' of Minneapolis neighborhood
M.A. Rosko tours Victorian homes on the Healy Block Historic District in preparation for a formal tour this Sunday.
T.P. Healy is a master builder who rose to prominence in Minneapolis in the 1880s, and many of his creations have been preserved and will be on tour on Sunday. Healy erected over 140 structures during his career. Motorists exiting northbound I-35 at Lake Street will see the Queen Anne houses on Second Avenue, possibly the most recognizable Victorian homes in Minneapolis.
Tour-goers should assemble in front of 3139 Second Avenue South at 1 p.m. on Nov. 10.
