Clouds are already breaking early this morning (after our cool-surface 1"-4" around the area, narrow band of 5"-10" in SW MN!)We'll see plenty of chilly sunshine today, but just warm enough to see a good deal of melting this afternoon with a high of 38. We'll refreeze tonight as we dip to the colder 20s - maybe even some patchy fog toward morning. The sun keeps shining on Thursday as the low 40s return and linger into the weekend with just a slight rain/mix chance Friday into Friday night.

As far as your commute goes, it depends on what surface you're driving on -- many roads in the metro were warm enough to melt the snow but still watch for bridges and overpasses as moisture tends to freeze over when cold air passes by.
