Kevin Love was named as the NBA Western Conference player of the week. It marked the first time he earned the award, and the sixth different Wolves player to be named.
Love led the Wolves to a 3-0 record for just the second time in team history. He had 31 points and 17 rebounds in the season opener followed by a 24 point, 12 rebound performance against Oklahoma capped by a 34 point, 15 rebound night against the Knicks.
Love currently leads the NBA in scoring (29.7 ppg) and ranks second in rebounds (14.7 rpg).
