Two people died after being rear-ended at a traffic light on Olson Memorial Highway in Minneapolis early Sunday morning.
Three cars were at a light at Olson Memorial Highway and Morgan Avenue around 1 a.m. when a fourth car struck the third from behind, killing two occupants inside. A chain reaction ensued and the other two cars were also rear-ended.
The driver who struck the first car in the chain was taken to HCMC and is in stable condition. Three people in the middle car at the light were also taken to HCMC with non life-threatening injuries.
Police do not know if alcohol was a factor in the crash and are continuing to investigate the incident.
