ANTIOCH, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Investigators have identified the two women found dead together in an Antioch apartment Oct. 28 as the mother and girlfriend of Billy Varner, who police are still seeking to question in connection with the suspicious deaths, the Lake County News-Sun is reporting.

Lake County Coroner Thomas Rudd has identified the women as 82-year-old Dorothy Varner and 61-year-old Peggy A. Henderson. Billy Varner is Dorothy's son and was in a relationship with Henderson, Rudd said.

According to Rudd, investigators have been told Henderson had a history of identity theft, so police are uncertain if that was her real name. She has no family in the area, he said.

The coroner got a fingerprint match Friday. In March 2009, Henderson was found guilty of identity theft and spent 90 days in the Lake County Jail, according to court records.

Both women lived at the apartment on the 1200 block of Main Street, Rudd said. Their time of death was 7:25 a.m. Oct. 28.

George Filenko, head of the Lake County Major Crime Task Force, said the U.S. Marshall's Office is assisting in the search for Varner.
