Has the mold problem returned to Washington High?

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

A group of parents say their children are not safe sitting in their Washington High School classrooms. Earlier this year, the Atlanta Public School District cleaned mold out of part of the building and now some students say it is back.

The group met out front of the school to raise awareness to what they call a "state of emergency" at Booker T. Washington High School. They went door-to-door trying to expose the danger.

Just before the new school year, the district declared the school safe after they say they were able to contain the threat to a few rooms and successfully treated the mold. Superintendent Erroll Davis met with the group on Thursday and said the mold did not present an ongoing danger.

Students say they are seeing and smelling leftover mold. They want the district to act.
