Hazelden creates play to educate students about drinking

Posted: Updated:

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP)- Excessive drinking can be a major problem on college campuses, so the Minnesota-based Hazelden Foundation decided to try a new approach to educating students about the risks.

Hazelden will be hitting the road and hitting the stage. They have created an off-Broadway play in hopes of saving lives. The play "Bill W. and Dr. Bob" is based on the relationship between the two founders of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Revenue from the play will be used for youth treatment scholarships.
