DETROIT (AP) - A man has been shot to death while stopped at a bank's drive-thru window on Detroit's east side.

Fox 2 obtained surveillance video from the auto shop next door. The video shows the victim's pink BMW pull into the parking lot of the Charter One Bank on East Warren Avenue and Outer Drive around 9:30 a.m. on Friday. The victim gets out of the car and talks to someone, and, when he gets back in the car, he pulls around to the teller window. This is when you can see a guy in the distance start shooting.

The suspect fires multiple shots into the passenger's side of the vehicle, then comes around to the driver's side, removes the victim from the vehicle and robs him.

Witnesses describe the event to Fox 2's Amy Lange.

"Pop pop pop - five, six shots - just horrible," Mark Mayer says shaking his head.

"Man laying on the ground. Me and the two guys who had witnessed it went to go help the guy, but we seen that it was all over," Jerry Miller says.

The victim has been identified as James Blade, 61.

The suspect is believed to have driven away in a gray vehicle. He is described as a black male wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
