UPDATE: Arrest made in sexual assault of woman in Lawrenceville

Surveillance shows the woman leave the store, followed quickly by the attacker. Armed with a knife, the attacker runs up to the victim as she reached her car.

"When the attack happened, she was forced inside of her vehicle and made to go ahead and drive from the location and ultimately she was sexually assaulted," said Detective Neil Zellous of the Lawrenceville Police Department.

After leaving the woman stranded he used her stolen credit card at a Kroger store on Grayson Highway

Police hope someone recognizes the attacker. They say he lingered outside of the entrance before spotting the victim.

"He is basically hunting his prey. He's stalking her," Zellous said. "As he sees her exit the Walmart, he follows her and ultimately attacks."

The victim's car, a white Kia Optima with North Carolina license plate #YWR3717, has not been located. Police hope they can find the man before someone else is hurt.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 770-670-5019.
