Longtime sports anchor Bill Mazer has died. He was 92.

He will best be remembered for his days on "The Ten O'Clock News" on Channel 5 and as the longtime host of "Sports Extra."

He was called "Amazin," and that he was. Mazer's total recall of sports facts and figures was uncanny. And his stories of the people and events he had covered throughout the years were even better.

Mazer was born in Kiev but grew up in Brooklyn. He served in World War II and was married to his beautiful wife, Dora, for 50 years.

His broadcasting career began on the radio in the 1940s. He was also the author of many sports trivia books.

Richie Sambora spent 30 years as the lead guitarist of rock band Bon Jovi. Nowadays, he's touring with Orianthi, the former lead guitarist for the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. “We’ve been tearing it up. It’s been the improvisational thing. It’s a very exciting thing," said Sambora during Good Day New York. The New Jersey native from "a blue collar, working class family" missed home and watching his daughter grow.
