Academy Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush is scheduled to attend a screening of his new film "The Book Thief" during the Chicago International Film Festival.
Rush is expected to be joined at Tuesday's red carpet event by his co-star, Sophie Nelisse, and director Brian Percival.
The film is based on a best-selling book. It tells the story of a young girl who is sent to live with a foster family in World War II Germany and changes the lives of those around her by stealing and sharing books.
Rush won an Oscar for his role as a pianist in the 1996 film "Shine."
The film festival runs through Thursday.
