Kevin and Brynn Gutelius talks to Mike and Sheinelle about the amazing opportunity afforded to their daughter who is battling cystic fibrosis.
A young South Jersey girl, battling "Cystic Fibrosis", had one wish to meet pop star, Selena Gomez.
And thanks to FOX 29 viewer "Tweets" and Facebook posts reaching out to Selena, Bailey Gutelius' wish came true on Friday night.
"It is going to be like the best day of my life, ever, and it is going to be really good," Bailey told FOX 29 before the concert.
Bailey's parents Kevin and Brynn Gutelius were on Good Day today. They talked about Bailey and how she enjoyed herself at the concert.
"It was a night we will never forget. It just was fabulous, from beginning to end, it was just a whirlwind and exciting, and such a silver lining during this time," Brynn Gutelius told Mike and Sheinelle.
"Now they want to be on TV," Brynn added.
Brynn next talked about the journey that they all took to make their daughter's dream come true.
"When this happened, I had one follower on twitter; I had been on one time in my life. I didn't do anything on Twitter. I thought this is just never going to happen, but you never know," she reflected. "I desperately wanted her to have this amazing, cool kid story, instead of going back to school being the sick kid."
Finally the family talked about Selena.
"She is so warm and loving and kind. I have never been in the presence of a celebrity and wow, she just blew us away," said Brynn. "She is so warm and loving and kind. I have never been in the presence of a celebrity and wow, she just blew us away."
Bailey will hopefully be out of the hospital next week, but as the family describes, the hospital visits will be back and forth because of the way Cystic Fibrosis works.
There is no cure for CF, only treatments to improve quality of life.
