A van occupied by two dogs was left dangling over Interstate 35E in St. Paul on Monday morning but has been towed to safety.
According to St. Paul police, the owner of the van had permission from First Baptist Church, located on North Wacouta Street, to park in the lot and was sleeping inside his van when the gear was bumped out of park. The van rolled into a fence and the man escaped safely. The dogs remained in the van until a tow truck arrived and pulled the vehicle to safety.
The tow truck driver noted the van's bumper appeared to be hanging off but didn't see any further damages.
Minnesota State Patrol assisted by blocking the two right lanes of I-35E to help ensure commuter safety.
