NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -
Google always seems to be one step ahead of us by anticipating our searches.
Type in "I want to sell my" and it'll finish your thought, auto-filling through complex, accurate algorithms. Put in "I want to sell" and the No. 1 and No. 2 most common items people are looking to unload are their house or car (seems obvious). But what are some other in the top five? Not so obvious.
Nicholas Colas, the chief market strategist for the Convergx Group, studies economic analytic data for a living. He says incomes have remained the same for the last 20 years but the cost of living has risen. So he says people, often women, are looking to make some extra money selling human eggs, hair and breast milk.
Laura Cipullo, the author of "Mom Dishes It Out," says it is never a good idea to buy breast milk from someone you don't know. As for hair? She says the typical seller seems to be single mom wanting to make extra money on side.
Colas says that on the open Internet market hair will get you $50 to $300 depending on color, length and thickness. Human eggs will get $5,000 to $20,000, and breast milk $10 to $20.
