Police arrest several 'reckless' bikers on LIE

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Suffolk County cops arrested several motorcycle riders they say were driving recklessly on the Long Island Expressway on Monday morning.

It happened after police received several 911 calls about the bikers before noon, so highway division officers responded, police said.

The cops saw the bikers "driving recklessly" eastbound near Exit 63 and pulled over seven of them, Suffolk Police said. Officers took the seven bikers into custody and impounded their bikes.

Police identified the men under arrest as Edward Gianino, Emilio Morales, Ian Glass, Nicholas Belletti, Oskar Bucki, David Golaszewski, and Victor Dasilva.

The arrests come a few weeks after a highly publicized incident in New York City where a confrontation between a SUV driver and a huge group of motorcyclists ended in violence.
