The Zombie Pub Crawl attracted 30,000 of the undead to the U of M West Bank on Saturday.
The first crawl hit Northeast Minneapolis in 2005 and cased six bars, starting at 331 Club and ending at Psycho Suzi's -- and the bars had no idea they'd be hosting 150 zombies that evening. The event outgrew its Northeast roots and eventually transported its hub to the West Bank, starting at Gold Medal Park and ended and the Nomad with about 1,000 bar hoppers.
This year, live music, a giant Ferris wheel, 'Brain Belt' beer, food trucks and a charity run brought 30,000 of the undead donning tattered, gory clothing and ready to ring in a season of fright and frivolity.
