Are You Suffering From 'iPosture?'

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

If you've been suffering from back problems lately, it may be your cell phone's fault. There's a growing phenomenon called "iPosture."

It's apparently the posture we take when we use our cell phones. Our slouching and bending our necks, even our wrists, could be causing aches and pains.

But, luckily, there are a few exercises that can help.

Core strength physical trainer Shara Arnofsky explains, "What happens is your chest gets tight and your back gets weak because it's over stretched. So we need to strengthen the back and stretch out the front."

A new survey by a British healthcare provider found 84 percent of young people suffered back pain last year.

And, once hurt, they lost more work time than their parents' generation, who don't use cell phones as much.
