There's no question who the go-to winner is when it comes to professional sports in Minnesota. The Lynx have been burning up the court in their quest to claim their second league title in three years.
"Right now, without a doubt, they are the Minnesota team," Jan West told FOX 9 News.
On Sunday, the Lynx proved they have the potential to be the Atlanta Dream's worst nightmare, taking the win by 25 points. In an 84-59 win On Tuesday night, the team tipped off the second game in their third consecutive trip to the WNBA finals.
"They're really good, and they made it to the championship three times," Kanauda Mason said. "I think they're going to win this year because they have a great team and they have teamwork."
In 2011, the Lynx roared to victory. Last year, they lost their championship bid -- but this year, fans are confident the team will right that wrong and bring the trophy home.
"They're one of the winning teams in Minnesota. It's not like the Wolves or the Vikings. They're totally rocking it!" exclaimed Brittanie Phelps.
After the second game of the finals series got underway, the team pushed to prove they are consistent -- gaining a 15-point lead to close the first half at 51-36. For those who love the Lynx, watching the team claw out an early lead proved their potential.
"Makes me feel great as a woman, makes me feel great as a sports fan, makes me feel good as a Minnesotan," West said. "We're proud to have a great team representing us."
After topping the Western Conference Final and securing a second 25-point win on Tuesday night, Lynx fans are confident that the team will make quick work of the best-of-five series.
"Hopefully, they can pull it out again and win one more game in Atlanta," Phelps said. "Let's do it!"
