TUCSON, Ariz. -

Nothing funny about a woman on fire -- which is why a Tucson 911 operator who didn't take an emergency call very seriously is in trouble.

Lalo Delgado and his girlfriend were stuck in the middle of nowhere when their car suddenly burst into flames and they needed help fast.

Instead of the dispatcher taking the call seriously, she started laughing.

Understandably frustrated, Delgado had to hang up and call for help a second time.

The incident is being investigated but Pima County officials say the situation didn't delay their response time.

Press play to listen to that call.
