Newark Mayor's Stripper Friend Trends On Social Media

Posted: Updated:
NEWARK, N.J. -

Newark Mayor and US Senate candidate, Cory Booker, loves talking to people on Twitter.

He's delivered diapers during a blizzard, and he even saved a dog from the freezing cold last winter.

And now, he's made an interesting friend on Twitter that's causing a distraction before his upcoming election.

Meet Lynsie Lee, she's a stripper from Portland, and she claims Booker sent her a private message back in February, saying, "The East Coast loves you, and by the East Coast, I mean me."

The two met on a film set, for a movie about Twitter.

Booker's spokesperson came out, saying, "I think it's pretty pretty well known that the mayor talks with people from all walks of life on twitter."

Video games may be pure fantasy, but a violent action-adventure game called "Watch Dogs" has ignited a very real debate in one South Jersey community. Watch Dog allows players to adopt the persona of a James Bond-like computer hacker, chasing an evil mastermind. People say it's chock-full of foul language, sex and violence, features dark and foreboding backdrops. The latest version, which is due out this fall may be set in Camden.
