What's in a purse? that which we call a rose by any other purse would smell as sweet ...

But it turns out your purse may not be so sweet after all.

New research says e-coli, poisonous bacteria and even traces of feces can be found lurking at the bottom of your bag.

So what should you do?

  • Don't keep used tissues in the bag.
  • Clean out your purse regularly with an anti-bacteria wipe.
  • Don't set your purse down in places where you will eat, like the kitchen counter or table.
  • Remember your purse has been in contact with a lot of germs inside and out, especially if you put it on the floor.
