When the blood pressure of fantasy owners began to climb last week as they watched their first round picks struggle, I was reminded of the words uttered by Axl Rose.
All we need is just a little patience.
Since then, I have been whistling that stupid song with visions of Marshawn Lynch running for 43 yards and averaging seven and a half feet per carry as salty tears meander down my face.
Alas, tis fantasy football.
While there are no guarantees in life, here are the top 10 things I believe will happen for fantasy owners this weekend.
1) Peyton Manning will NOT throw 7 touchdown passes this week.
I mean come on. He's facing his brother and let's be honest. The holiday season will be awkward in the Manning household if the Broncos run up the score.

2) Watching Michael Vick has become fun again.
Remember when we all hated Mike Vick? Seems like forever ago. Now that Chip Kelly and his crazy paced offense has come to town, I find myself reaching for the oxygen and I'm not even playing. Enjoy Vick while you can because he won't last the whole season.

3) Doug Martin might run for a gazillion yards.
Okay a gazillion is a stretch, but the Saints defense is horrible and Steven Jackson ran for 77 yards on 11 carries last week. You'll like the big box score that Martin is about to bestow on his owners.

4) Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?
LeSean McCoy surged into fantasy MVP status Monday night with a memorable performance. He was one of only two runners to amass 100 yards on the ground (Shane Vereen), and if you like that, you will get more this week against the Chargers.

5) Calvin Johnson will score a legal touchdown this week.
The whole world hates Calvin…well at least that's how the top receiver feels about it. He was robbed of a touchdown in week one because he didn't complete the process of a catch but he was incomplete control of the football when it crossed the goal line. Logical? Not really, but Megatron will surpass 100 yards against the Cardinals and score at least once.

6) Jared Cook will do it again.
Raise your hands if you saw Jared Cook's opening performance. Okay really…you guys need to seriously seek psychiatric help. Cook should have had a third score, but his inner channeling of Leon Lett resulted in a whole bunch of yards but one less touchdown. He'll produce again this week as the Rams travel to Atlanta to face a Falcons secondary that gave up a touchdown to Jimmy Graham in week one.

7) Alert the media, we found Larry Fitzgerald.
Fitz has an actual quarterback in Arizona and finished with 8 catches for 80 yards and two scores. He is one of the most dynamic receivers in the league and for three seasons wasted away his prime. He'll repeat the performance in week two against the Lions who just let Jerome Simpson have a big day.

8) Reggie not beating around the Bush.
Coming into the season, I knew Reggie was in for a good year. His 191 yards from scrimmage and a score against the Vikings proved it. No question, Bush is in for his best year as a pro, which is great news for fantasy owners. He travels to Arizona to face a Cardinals team that surrendered 96 combo yards to Daryl Richardson. Advantage Bush.

9) The defense does not rest.
The defenses owned early with like 200 safeties. That won't stop in week two. I love the Bears, Packers, Texans and Seahawks defenses to score this week.

10) Kickers aren't so lonely.
Kickers are different cats, but the reality is you need those points. If you own Mason Crosby, Justin Tucker, Matt Bryant, Garrett Hartley or Mike Nugent, you can feel good about the points you are about to get from your kicking game.
