Two Superheroes Save Cat

MILTON, West Virginia -

Batman and Captain America team up to save a cat from a burning building.

The two superheroes, John Buckland and Troy Marcum, were in costume this weekend for a charity softball game in West Virginia. They were teaching positive lessons to children.

That's when they saw smoke coming from a home down the street. They rushed over to see if anyone was inside.

"Giving everything we got and the door opens up," Buckland recalls. "It's getting pretty dark, I'm feeling around. And I'll be darn if I feel something furry."

After the superheroes ran inside, they pulled out an unconscious cat.

Batman actually gave the cat mouth-to-mouth, saving its life.

"First look on the cat's face was shock. Oh, he hissed at me and everything. He got resuscitated by Batman. That's a pretty scary thing to wake up to," Buckland says. "I just want to know what's going on through the cat's mind. And I'm just glad that nobody else was in that house."

Buckland used to be a firefighter in the military and as a civilian.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
