Movie set explosion on Staten Island

Posted: Updated:

Residents of a Staten Island neighborhood were underwhelmed with a movie stunt they had been warned about before hand to alleviate concerns.

People were told they shouldn't be alarmed if they see a massive fireball go off on Tuesday.

A film crew was at the Great Kills Swim Club simulating an explosion.  Firefighters and police were on site to monitor the stunt.

People lined up expecting a large blast.  It ended up being relatively small.

The film is reportedly is titled Staten Island Summer and is due out next year.
